Today is BOXING DAY ....

The Scripture Union 'Encounter with God' daily reading notes had this to say:

"The mystery of the incarnation, of God made flesh, should make us think again. So often our view of God is too small; our vision too restricted, our imagination too limited. We need a fresh sense of awe and humility. Christmas stands as a correction to any idea that we have arrived, a rebuke to the arrogance of twenty-first century humanity."

Micah 5:4-5a (New International Version)

4 He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the LORD ,
in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God.
And they will live securely, for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.
5 And he will be their peace.
